Selected Works - Black & White
Color photography is available for photographers for many years now. Yet something about black and white photography still plays our emotional strings. Maybe it is especially true when it comes to black and white nude photography. In fine art nude photography it seems that the deprivition of colors emphasizes the curves of the human figure. Maybe black and white photography better defines the mass, values and depth of the human physic. Or maybe if you take away the distractions of color, the viewer is left with a visual description of an emotional story. Black and white nude photography is not a realistic presentation of life but it tells the story in a unique and emotional way.
Selected Works - Duotones
Take away all colors but one, one singular gradient that targets one emotional state. Not unlike black and white photographs the images in this collection are depriving our eyes of colors information and yet maybe they tell a story in a deeper and more profound way.
Manipulated Images
The photograph as a basic material, a foundation on which (with the help of a computer software) manipulations can be made. I play, I experiment changing colors and hue moving pixels around to create something new. The image can be broken to pieces and then rebuilt again Many different images can be used as building blocks for a new image Fantasy can be created or a whole new person that never existed Guilt appears with every pixel moved... Boundaries between fine art photography and digital painting have been crossed. can it really be called "photography" anymore?
